Thistle has been used for traditional medicine of blood coagulation and hepatoprotection along centuries. According to recent research, It has reported to have outstanding antioxidant activity and liver protection effect. In this study, we extract three species of thistles (C. japonicum, C. nipponicum, C. setidens) using five extraction solvents (Methanol(MeOH), Dichloromethane(MC), n-Butanol(BuOH), Ethyl acetate(EA), Water), then identify antioxidant activity, total polyphenol content, total flavonoid content.
