This study is to provide tools that diagnose multicultural competencies and set the groundwork in order to improve multiculturalism of Korean language teachers dispatched overseas. Based on the survey for undergraduates and graduates majoring in Korean language education at A University(majors, double majors, minors) in Gyeongsangbuk-do area and Korean language teachers dispatched overseas, it is to examine the impact that an overseas educational experience has on the multicultural competence. The findings of the study show the following differences according to the experience of Korean language education, educational period, and gender. First, to look into the extent of multicultural perception according to the experience of Korean language education by Korean teachers dispatched overseas, the result shows a very high significance particularly on the items related to collectivism and the attitude of multicultural eduction in the experience of Korean language education dispatched overseas. On the other hand, the tendency of individualism was analyzed to be largely unchanged. Second, as a result of multicultural perception study according to the educational experience period, teachers dispatched overseas less than one month show that multiculturalism is very high in the attitude towards education, and the tendency of collectivism is much higher in 1-4 months. This can be interpreted that multiculturalism relating to the group is higher when the period of dispatched overseas is longer, while it focuses on the education in the relatively short period such as a period of less than one month. Third, multicultural perception for male is high in overall multicultural perception average according to gender. Men have the highest tendency of collectivism, while women have the highest attitudes of multicultural education. In the case of education experience, it can be identified that in the average difference, the female is much higher than the male.
