There are many elements that gymnasts should acquire, and it takes time to acquire them, so it is important to have high efficiency. Knowledge, to master skills faster and more reliably, is extremely important for gymnasts and coaches. Study in the field of coaching on pommel horses is being carried out by many researchers. These studies exclusively leaning towards the “double leg circle”. In recent years, “Any Russian wendeswing with 360° turn and 3/3 travel (Roth)” has been performed by many top-level gymnasts on male pommel horses. As of 2022, the specific coaching method for this element has not been clarified. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to develop a coaching method for “Roth” on the pommel horse and to provide effective knowledge to the training praxis. The author has taught “Roth” to 60 gymnasts so far, and 29 gymnasts have succeeded in the competition. As a result of many of these coaching, two methods have become clear for gymnasts to effectively grasp their kinesthetic sensations. It was the “all-learning method” and the “segmentation method”. And we were able to derive the movement and kinesthetic meaning of each method. This study, which clarified the specific coaching procedure that enables the gymnast to form a new image of exercise, is an experience that should be known to many coaches, and is knowledge that the field is looking for.
