The study aims to realize the mutual growth of educational programs within national museums, to find a model for building a substantial cooperative system among personnel at this point when the role and function of museum have expanded and diversified, and ultimately to propose the medium- and long-term direction for education in national museums who lead the nation"s museum education. This paper introduces a special exhibition, The 40<SUP>th</SUP> Anniversary of the Shinan Shipwerck Excavation held in the National Museum of Korea during July 26 ~ September 4, 2016 and its travelling exhibition at the Gwangju National Museum in October 25, 2016 ~ January 30, 2017 and the successful sharing of educational materials. In particular, the study intends to analyze the process and outcome of sharing materials not from the perspective of one-time exchange but from the perspective of knowledge sharing among museum educators and to suggest its implications. Based on the analysis, the study proposes three stages of building an education cooperative system between the National Museum of Korea and other national museums.
