In this study, 18 women in their 50s and 60s diagnosed with rotator cuff syndrome (M75.1) were recruited from the local community in C City and underwent exercise rehabilitation at a living lab. Shoulder disease was diagnosed through examination by medical staff at M Oriental Hospital, a designated hospital, and all subjects voluntarily agreed to participate in the study. Participation in this study was confirmed through a basic health questionnaire and an interview with a specialist, and only the affected side was applied. Exercise rehabilitation was conducted three times a week for 12 weeks. To confirm the study participants" reduction in rotator cuff syndrome pain and increase in shoulder joint range of motion, visual pain scale (VAS: Visual Analogue Scale) and shoulder joint range of motion were measured. Exercise rehabilitation was individually tailored by resetting the exercise intensity, exercise composition, and exercise time using the ARES exercise rehabilitation program developed by the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute. Exercise rehabilitation was carried out at the Living Lab(Gymnasium, a designated sports center), and exercise rehabilitation was guided by an exercise instructor who had obtained bodybuilding as a sports instructor. As a result of exercise rehabilitation, both the visual pain scale of the shoulder decreased and the shoulder joint range of motion increased. Therefore, the above conclusion has been verified that pain is reduced and shoulder joint range of motion increases when exercise rehabilitation using the ARES program is performed by operating a living lab in the community.
