Li Baoguang inherited his family's education, established the gate of Wu Kaisheng, and introduced the literary tradition of Tongcheng. He also befriended the He family of Wuqiang in the southern region of Jilin, as well as famous poets of the northern Tongcheng School such as Zhongyin and Deng Yuyi, and developed a unique style of poetry and prose. He was a key member of the northern Tongcheng School of literati in the late Qing and Republic of China. The interaction between Li Baoguang and the Northern Tongcheng School transcends the boundaries of career paths and has modern social significance and contemporary characteristics that go beyond literature itself. Their core spirit of inheriting literary style is a collective effort to construct a cultural system centered around the Tongcheng School. It shows that since the Ming and Qing dynasties, literary schools have undergone changes due to cultural spatial displacement. Local literati in certain cultural regions have broken through the rigidity and isolation of regional culture, and have incorporated and integrated other regional or national academic and literary trends and schools of thought into their local dissemination, in order to improve the description of local culture and context, and integrate into the general cultural proliferation strategy of Chinese culture and tradition.
