    Accurate kidney segmentation is essential for planning partial nephrectomy, as it allows precise identification of the kidney’s location and morphology. However, in patients with kidney cancer, the presence of tumors can lead to substantial morphological variations, making segmentation challenging. To address this, we propose a transformer-based network that incorporates global context information in combination with a window-based self-attention mechanism to integrate local context. Experimental results show that the proposed method achieves an F1-score of 88.02% by effectively capturing both global and local context around kidney boundaries. In particular, segmentation performance improved significantly for kidneys with large tumors and pronounced morphological changes. Compared to previous methods, the proposed method showed a 3.5%p increase in F1-score and a 7.62%p increase in recall, significantly reducing the issue of under-segmentation.
