This study investigates the association between nutrition education and health-related behaviors among Korean adolescents, offering insights for curriculum enhancement, such as incorporating practical dietary guidance and behavior-based interventions. Results indicate that nutrition education is linked to higher academic achievement (29.7% in the top tier), increased daily breakfast consumption, decreased intake of sugar-sweetened and high-caffeine beverages (p<0.003, p<0.001), and improved personal hygiene practices. Among middle school students, fast-food consumption was lower, whereas high school students showed an higher fast-food consumption despite education, potentially due to academic stress. Nutrition education also contributed to greater health awareness, weight management efforts (p<0.001), and a decline in alcohol and tobacco use. Furthermore, students with nutrition education exhibited improved psychological well-being, reporting lower anxiety and loneliness levels (p<0.0001), underscoring its beneficial impact on mental health. In conclusion, nutrition education significantly influences adolescents' dietary habits, hygiene practices, health perceptions, and mental well-being. The findings underscore the need for tailored educational programs and integrated health policies considering gender, academic stress, and socioeconomic background, serving as a basis for future educational and policy developments.
