It is believed that the royal lines and the yearly records of the early part of Samkuksaki were combined in the Unification period of the Three Kingdoms. So, the stand that perceives the royal line itself as mere fabrications is yet to be proved, According to such view, the study has been conducted in the growing background of Kim's tribe(金氏族團) and the results are the following.
Kim's tribe was the most latecomer to Kyungju, but it still managed to monopolize the Silla throne and established the Maripkan system, There were many backgrounds for such history, First, Kim's tribe produced Kudo (仇道), who was prominent in military activities, Second, it is estimated that the gold resources in the Kingdom of Somun(召文) region, which was the central ground for Kudo, actually functioned as the solid economic base, This spot was located on the path from the northern Sobaek Mountains to Kyungju, which enabled the Kim's tribe to overtake its gold and silver producing area. Kim's tribe also absorbed the remnants and metal technicians of Nanglang and Daebang commanderies. Through such historical process, it overwhelmed the Suk's tribe(昔氏) and became an ultimate victor.
Kim's tribe have constantly developed its power, oweing much to Kokuryo. Kokuryo has had supplied Silla with political, military, and advanced cultural assistance, in return for gold and silver as tributes, Such were the backgrounds for the ruling classes of Silla to have used Kim(金) as its royal family name in the end.
