The words mark of folksongs and song title reflecting folksongs characteristic is work preparing the base of folksongs study, task to be preceded than other studies.
This paper indicates wrong mark examples among folksongs recorded in Jeju folksongs data, suggests standardized way based upon mark way of Jeju language. Also this paper examines closely propriety of spacing words way by the foot through words mark by the line.
The principle of song title mark of Jeju folksongs is said thar the individual folksongs having function must be used song title as ‘-sori’, and non-function folksongs must be used as ‘-ga’ or ‘-taryeong’, and except this first paragraph of song, refrain or main word must be used as song title.
This paper examines song title of Jeju folksongs and attempt new classification of folksongs. The result will give not only systematization of Jeju folksongs but also meaningful information for systematical classification and data saving of Korean folksongs.
