In the article it has been suggested that the attraction of sport events not only increases the residents' pride and satisfaction on their town, but can also be regarded as a good income source to activate local economy through tourists who have interests in the sport events. It can play a significant role of making the town globalized and internationalized. What is the most important is to build strong foundations and effective strategies and to develop unique sport events representing the local characteristics in order to lead to the successful sport event attractions.
We have also suggested that in order to promote the tour industry through sport events social and legal institution should be made in support of it. It is also possible to take an effective advantage of the sport facilities as infrastructure for sport industry development and promotion as well as tourism activation. Accordingly it is important to build unique systems reflecting the regional characteristics.
Finally, we suggest that it is necessary to pursue the best way of developing both sport industry and tourism, having them keep close relationship. The present research is just based on the existing limited data, so a further comprehensive study should be given on the basis of the present one.
