The dissertation is accomplished on the basis of 50 day's fieldwork at Xi village of EWENKl county, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The author tries to discuss the cultural change of Buryat Mongolian from the point of self-observing and other's observing with the method of participant observation.
The dissertation includes five parts :
The first part gives a brief review to the past studies and researches as well as an introduction to the methods used.
The second part gives an introduction to the society of Xi village and talks about the origin and development of Buryat Mongolian.
The third part discusses the change of production mode. Pastoral system plays an important part in the cultural change.
The fourth chapter deals with the change of life style and consumption mode.
The sixth part is the conclusion. The author tires to investigate and seek a correct way for the development of Buryat Mongolian.
