The main object of this study is to see how bureaucrats’ everyday life world is performed and engaged. Bureaucrats in North Korea have played a key role in connecting between control groups and the public. Therefore, the system of the bureaucrats is one of the most important areas to understand the North Korea’s regime mechanism. In other words, the tracing survey of the bureaucrats’ daily life world can be the pivotal way to research on North Korea’s past, present and future on the one line.
At first glance concentrating on the everyday life would seem like we can not find some changes and it is just reiterated. However, my closer scrutiny reveals that the people engage in their own life with appropriation, interpretation and composition through the various ways. I believe that we can have the multifarious methods by reconstruction of the bureaucrats’ daily life world. The bureaucrats groups have used the strategy for their political power and benefit through not only the experience share of repetition of the everyday life world but also counter-surveillance under the control group’s strict surveillance.
Those ways were performed by tactics covered with affectation of obedience as well as distancing and intervention about the control groups and the people. In a nutshell, the bureaucrats are the beings who preserve their own power, benefit and survival through the obedience of the control group’s tactics. Therefore, the valuable way to trace the bureaucrats’ everyday life world is to research on not only the relations between the bureaucrats’ habits and social structure but also relations between socialism rules and the bureaucrats’ collective memories. It is also important to study the conflict with the control group’s tactics for their political power and benefit to survive. I am pretty sure that the research on the bureaucrats’ daily life world will provide us with another point of view when it comes to North Korean study.
