The purpose of this study was to analyze the measures for the safety accidents of the children and the laws related to the swimming pool facilities and sanitation to apply the more effective measures to the safety management to the pool for children. The conclusions are as follows.
First, the selection of floor materials in the children’s pool and the installation of anti-slip mats are mandatory because most are accidents due to falls.
Second, due to the nature of children’s pools at low water depths, it is imperative to install signs to prohibit ‘diving’ and thorough control and advance education will be necessary.
Third, it is imperative that the placement of the water security personnel is not only in the monitoring tower but also in the swimming pool in the juvenile pool.
Fourth, it is necessary to make the passage around the swimming pool at least 1.5m to cope with the emergency situation.
Fifth, in order to thoroughly manage hygiene, it is necessary to institutionalize enforcement regulations that always keep disinfection logbook and operation logbook in order to maintain water quality standard in children’s exclusive swimming pool. The increasing indoor pool of children should be more fully equipped for safety and hygiene management in order to prevent accidents. If a safety accident occurs, it should be resolved promptly to cope with an accident or emergency measures to minimize human and material damage.
