In the 21st century, society is rapidly changing and growing in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. It is the competitiveness of this era to build differentiated artistic expression methods based on the country"s unique identity today, as the past is gone and new things are pursued only due to rapid information and communication developments. We express our emotions and traditional beauty through color in traditional culture. The five colors of Korean traditional colors are divided into yellow, blue, white, red, and black. Owang has five seasons, elements, and guardian deities corresponding to each of five directions. It is a four-way god that symbolizes five colors. It is time for a new paradigm based on this tradition and culture. However, there are many researches on the design of the sanyang which symbolize the traditional color that embodies our ethnicity and traditional beauty, but there is no study of nail design using the image of the sanyan god. Therefore, in this study, we examined the possibilities of creative art works by combining Korean traditional taste with nail design using nail art printing machine developed by the technology of the fourth industrial revolution era. Through this study, we were able to reinterpret the traditional culture of our past in a modern way. Therefore, I would like to contribute to the continuous development of the nail industry by identifying the infinite possibility through the traditional beauty of our culture and researching various ways of expressing nail design through it.
