The purpose of this study is to identify the effects of primary school teachers" participation in survival swimming classes on swimming ability and coaching confidence. The study was conducted on 240 elementary school reserve teachers attending the second grade of G Education College in G-wide city, and the research method was t-tested to verify the difference in swimming ability and leadership confidence before and after class. The results of the study show that, firstly, the experimental group showed significant differences in all subcomponents of swimming ability in the effect of attending a survival swimming class by an elementary teacher, but in the case of a control group, there were no significant differences in all subcom Second, in the effect of attending a survival swimming class by an elementary school teacher on the guidance confidence of survival swimming, there was a significant difference in all factors of student management, study strengthening and leadership ability, which were subcomponents of leadership confidence, but in the case of a control group, there was no significant difference in all subcomponents. This shows the possibility that survival swimming classes at elementary schools can be conducted by primary school teachers, and suggests that survival training is necessary in the curriculum of primary school teachers.
