The purpose of this study is to analyze the appearance satisfaction according to the narcissistic tendency of adult men and women. In addition, this study provides basic data for suggesting positive body view and desirable appearance management behavior. The results of this study are as follows. First, as a result of examining the difference in narcissistic tendency according to the general characteristics of the survey subjects, the results were significant difference of narcissistic tendency according to educational background, occupation, and monthly average appearance management cost. However, there was no difference of narcissistic tendency according to gender, age, monthly income, and marital status. Second, as a result of examining the difference in appearance satisfaction according to the general characteristics of the survey subjects, the results were significant appearance satisfaction according to monthly income and marital status. However, the appearance satisfaction was not difference according to gender, age, educational background, occupation, and monthly average appearance management cost. The significance level was not significant at 5%. Third, as a result of examining the correlation between narcissistic tendency and appearance satisfaction, the person who has the conscious narcissism showed high appearance satisfaction. Fourth, as a result of examining the effect of narcissistic tendency on appearance satisfaction, the person who has the higher conscious narcissism and lower conscious of others has appearance satisfaction. In the further study, it is necessary to expand the research area and the stratum and to collect more basic data.
