Objectives
Laparoscopic antireflux surgery (LARS) is successful treatment option for gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). And several alternative endoscopic interventions have emerged including radiofrequency ablation and endoscopic mucosectomy in the last decade. Studies on revisonal surgery after endoscopic intervention are insufficient. We aimed to evaluate outcomes of revisional LARS after endoscopic antireflux therapy comparing with primary LARS and revisional surgery after LARS.
Methods
From November 2012 to December 2020, 195 patients with GERD underwent LARS at Chung-Ang University Hospital. The patients were categorized as 1) primary LARS (group 1, n=181), 2) redo after endoscopic antireflux procedure (group 2, n=7), and 3) redo after LARS (group 3, n=7). Treatment outcomes were comparatively analyzed among these 3 groups.
Results
