In recent years, the development of health functional food having the prevention and treatment effect of various diseases using microorganisms is actively progressing. Industrially, existing microorganisms are recognized as food usable strains by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, or microorganisms certified by GRAS are used. These microorganisms have their own secondary metabolites and are used for various purposes such as immunity, intestinal health, and inner beauty. These are what we call probiotics. If a microorganism converts an external substance into a living organism, then the external substance can be called prebiotics.
