In order to develop the new immuno-stimulating polysaccharide from radish leaves, a crude polysaccharide (RWP) has been isolated through hot water extraction. In an assay for NK cell activity and lung metastasis, i.v. and oral administration of RWP significantly augmented NK cell cytotoxicity and tumor-inhibitory activity. Nextly, RWP was digested with pectinase further fractionated by GPC to obtain three polysaccharide (REP-I, -II and -III).
