This study was intended to examine the anaerobic power and isokinetic muscle function following complex high-intensity training in weightlifters. If the effect of this study is verified, it can be applied as a training method to improve performance.
For this study, the muscle strength and muscular endurance factors of basal physical strength were examined, and the lower extremity bicycle Wingate was used to check anaerobic power, and the Cybex equipment was used to measure isokinetic muscle function. The training method for evaluation was composed of Stability (1-3 weeks), Strength (4-6 weeks), and Power (7-9 weeks) by setting goals in stages. Wilcoxon signed-rank test, a nonparametric test, was performed, and the statistical significance level was set to α=.05.
The following conclusions were drawn through this study. First, high-intensity complex training of weightlifters showed significant improvement in basic physical factors (back strength, sergeant jump). Second, high-intensity complex training of weightlifters showed significant improvement in anaerobic power (maximum power per body weight, fatigue rate). Third, in the high-intensity complex training of weightlifters, the maximum power among the knee and shoulder angular muscle strength of isokinetic muscle function was significantly improved in flexion and extension of the knee angular muscle force, but only a significant difference was found in the right direction in the shoulder. In the average work load, there was a significant improvement in right shoulder muscle strength, left knee extensor and knee flexor muscle.
