The important characters of 〈Hanjosamsunggibong〉(한조삼성기봉) have such a close relation with ones of Okhwangibong〉(옥환기봉). However It modifies the theme through the change in Gender and the beauty of the characters of 〈Okhwangibong〉(옥환기봉).
The writer of 〈Hanjosamsunggibong〉 composed the story that the queen, whose name is Guak, lived an unhappy life in 〈Okhwangibong〉 and finally revenges her enemy. In order to make the story much more lively, the writer changed the character or generated new characters in the story. Comparded with 〈Okhwangibong〉, 〈Hanjosamsunggibong〉 handles with how important the relationship among family mebers is and focuses on the discord of man and woman It attracts, that is to say, reader's intention and interests.
While 〈Okhwangibong〉, based on 〈Huhanseo〉(후한서) about the Han dynasty in chinese history, concentrates the historical truth, 〈Hanjosamsunggibong〉 focus on man-made-story. When considering these facts, the writer of these two works are regarded as different each other.
〈Hanjosamsunggibong〉 is derived from 〈Okhwangibong〉. It just call "Derivative novel". There are many works as 〈Hanjosamsunggibong〉 in the late Chosen dynasty. For example, 〈Youngirok〉(영이록), 〈Yeowoajeon〉(여와전), 〈Wanghoijeon〉(왕회전) etc. These works show the reaction of readers.
There are so many types of novels like "Sequence novel" and "Derivative novel" in the late Chosen dynasty. They will be show us the diversity of reader's interests at that time.
