This research has carried out to evaluate the personality characteristics of the Middle School students by the Standardardized Testing(SPT). 75 sports club members for more than two ywars and 95 students chosen arbitrarilly among non-sports club members were initially the two comparative groups for the testing. Of these 170 would-be subjects of the SPT, only 165 students except 5 stukents lacking in rwliability were finally sampled. Analysis of the testing has drawn two conclusions as following: (1) Sports club members group marked higher score than general students group in 7 factors of stability, leadership, sociality, responsibility, male-orientation, impulsiveness and superiority among 9 factors in total (2) In the other two factors, carefulness and cooperation, there were no statistically meaningful differences between the scores marked by the two groups. As a result, I wish to make three proposals as following: (1) today`s exam-oriented education desperately needs recognition of education`s intrinsic role and classroom revolution. So far, students been urged to concentrate on only textbooks and reference books in the crowded classrooms. Now is the high time to set them free from such misled teaching. Therefore, to the effect that cultivation of desirable human begins should be materialized now, educational policy-makers and all the people concerned are supposed to actively promote physical education for the students, e. g., in a way to support sports club or sports activities,. Then, education will be corrected in form of substance. (2) Despite the importance of sports club activities I mentioned, it should be pointed out that the number of coaches or experts of sport club is, in reality, far short of the demand. Thus, the related authorities need to constantly make prior plans and efforts supportive of emboding various sports club activities. (3) Since this work analyzed the test result of only the male students in the Middle School, further studies need to be done for the female students in the Middle School and Elementary School students. Coupled with these additional studies, the necessity of Physical education program adjustable for sex and age should be explored more aggressively.
