The purpose of this study was to investigate the athletes who have been used in one side overused training. This study was designed to compare the figures of vertebra and pelvis by tennis athletes, utilizing high-tech equipments entitled Formetric (Germany), which has higher validity and reliability than former instruments. As for the balancing ability, Postural Sway Index was measured by posture calibration measurement device(Posturomed, Hyder, Germany) of static and dynamic balancing abilities. Thirty-four tennis athletes(middle school 9, high school 8, collegiate 9 and business team 8. volunteered to participated in the study as subjects. The figures of vertebra and pelvis were measured and compared by four group. Main results of the study were as follow: ① There were significant differences trunk length, trunk inclination, pelvic tilt, pelvic torsion, surface rotation(+max) and lateral deviation(+max)(p<.05) ② There were no significant differences in lordotic and kyphotic angle among the four groups. ③ No significant difference was found in trunk imbalance, surface rotation(-max) and lateral deviation(-max) among the four groups. ④ There were no significant differences in both right and left feet concerning the sum of wobbling towards X and Y axes of static and dynamic balance. In conclusion, wrong or improper position and repetitive one-sided athletic practice could lead a significant changes in body alignment, suggesting that an appropriate training program should be considered to maintain the correct posture of the body and reduce sports injuries in athletes.
