The purpose of this study is to verify the effects of workplace incivility on the hotel employees’ perceived job satisfaction, organizational deviant behavior, psychological happiness as well as the moderating effects of the hotel employees’ perceived Confucian work value in the relationships among workplace incivility, job satisfaction, between workplace incivility, and organizational deviant behavior. This study conducted a survey of 500 hotel employees working in 10 five-star hotels located in Seoul, and 356 employees were employed for statistical analysis except unreliable responses. As a result, present study found that workplace incivility had a statistically significant effect on the organizational deviant behavior and job satisfaction. In addition, job satisfaction had a statistically significant effect on the hotel employees’ organizational deviant behavior and psychological happiness. Furthermore, the moderating effect of Confucian work value in the relationship between the workplace incivility and hotel employees’ organizational deviant behavior. Based on the research findings, this study discussed academic and practical implications, and suggestions on the future research.
