The purpose of this study is to analyze whether there are differences between groups in the importance of menus in coffee shops using demographic variables in the Busan city. The demographic variables used for this study are educational level, monthly average income, and occupation, and tests were conducted to determine how important the menu of coffee shops between groups of variables is. Although coffee shops are conducting coffee sales and promotion strategies for specific target groups, this study aims to present practical implications as well as academic implications by examining the differences between groups in regard to the importance of coffee shop menus. Frequency analysis for demographic analysis, factor analysis for the validity analysis of the coffee shop menu importance, and one-way ANOVA to analyze the differences in the importance of the coffee shop menu according to demographic characteristics were performed. The conclusions are that it is necessary for managers and marketers of coffee shops to establish various discount strategies for coffee according to educational level and side menu promotion strategies excluding coffee and beverages and that various coffee and side menu sales price strategies are required depending on the income level. Limitations and implications were discussed.
