Ginger (Zingiber officinale Roscoe) is one of the long-term history herbal plants. Ginger can be variously served as food, spice, and natural medicine in many different ways. Also, a variety of benefits of ginger made it be the most investigated herbal. Recently, ginger’s role in human health has been increasing the number of studies, particularly clinical studies. Thus, we conducted a comprehensive systematic review to summarize the biological properties of ginger, focusing on randomized controlled trials (RCTs) studies.
