The purpose of this study is to examined and analyzed four aspects of corporal punishment: “actual”, “consciousness”, “prevention”, and “theory” using the method of meta-analysis of the previous studies related to the problem of corporal punishment in the athletic club since 2000.
Based on the derived results, the overall flow of domestic corporal punishment-related research fields was summarized, and the direction of future research subject on corporal punishment issues was presented. In other words, an accurate understanding of how corporal punishment in the athletic club is accepted and preserved should be prioritized. It will be required reflection on the individual"s psychological mechanism for corporal punishment .
First, from the perspective of group psychology, the psychological mechanism of the group and the individual athletes in the situation where corporal punishment is preserved in the athletic club will be studied.
Second, studies will be conducted on the psychological mechanisms of those who do and receive corporal punishment within the athletic club and those who observe or witness the situation of corporal punishment.
Third, an analysis of social relationships between social and cultural mechanisms and leader athletes will be conducted showing the distinctiveness of Korean sports culture.
Fourth, it is necessary to analyze more concretely how operated the education system and the employment system of leaders are connected to the issue of corporal punishment by the athletic club.
Fifth, it is necessary to analyze how the policy works effectively and practically in the real world through the evaluation of the existing policy for eradicating corporal punishment.
