In the era of technological advancement, consumers can access necessary information quickly through the internet, and technological services have been introduced and established in various service industries including the restaurant industry. To effectively utilize these services, digital literacy plays a crucial role, encompassing the ability to explore, distinguish, comprehend, and adopt essential information. This study specifically focuses on digital information acceptance required for using technological services such as restaurant service apps and kiosks within the restaurant industry. Moreover, aligning with the societal phenomenon of an aging population, this study empirically investigates the relationship between digital information acceptance among active seniors, previously categorized as digitally challenged, and their attitudes and continued intention to use restaurant service apps and kiosks. Surveys were conducted targeting active seniors who have practical experience using technological services like kiosks and restaurant service apps. A total of 217 responses were collected and the final 207 valid samples were used to test the hypotheses. The results indicate that the sub-demension of digital information acceptance specifically digital information exploration and acquisition, positively influence attitudes towards restaurant service apps and kiosks. Particularly, digital information acquisition has a greater impact on attitudes towards restaurant service apps and kiosks. Furthermore, attitudes towards restaurant service apps and kiosks positively influence the continuance use intention among active seniors. This study provides foundational information on digital information acceptance among active seniors, who are recognized as a significant future consumer segment. The findings are significant as they offer valuable insights for restaurant businesses aiming to provide service through apps and kiosks in the future.
