In my previous articles, I collected, translated and classified humors that satire on Korea. This is a continuation of them and aims to analyze their structure, aesthetical principle and background of generation. First, humor engenders laughter. Then, how? In general, the issue has been researched by psychologists, not by litterateurs. Psychologists explain humors on the basis of the mechanism of human perception and emotional reaction which occurs in the web of social activities. The prevailing theories are classified into following three: arousal theory, incongruity theory and superiority theory. In this writing, I adopt the superiority theory in order to analyze Chinese satiric humor about Korea. It argues that when one feels superior by supposing that its counterpart is weaker, uglier, sillier, etc, one satirizes the counterpart. Since the establishment of diplomatic ties between Korea and China in 1992, the korean wave (Hanryu) reached its culmination in 2005 by the great success of Daejanggeum in China. By its reaction, anti-hanryu movements appeared in China around the same year and they have been continuously magnified and regenerated through nationalist journalism and internet. Korean history has been distorted and such negative images of Korea as plastic surgery kingdom, Korea-based american army, etc have been exaggerated. Further, the distortion and exaggerations have been main contents of the satiric humor about Korea since 2005 in China.
