Purpose: The purpose of this study is to empirically analyze the relationship between organizational justice and organizational behavior of workers in sports service industry by using meta-analysis.
Method: After searching related studies by using RISS (Research Information Sharing Service), 26 studies were selected with a thorough verification process. Next, correlation coefficients between sub-dimension of organizational justice and organizational behavior, samples size, and proportion of male which were reported in individual studies were coded. CMA (comprehensive meta-analysis 2.0) program was used for actual analysis.
Results: First, the average effect size on the relationship between organizational justice and organizational behavior was shown to be above medium to high. Specifically, the sub-dimensions of organizational justice were also found to be above medium to high. Second, study with a higher proportion of males showed an increased effect size between procedural justice and organizational behavior. But, the effect size between interaction justice and organizational behavior decreased as the proportion of male was high.
Conclusion: To sum up, the main findings in this study confirm that organizational justice is significantly related with organizational behavior in sport service field. In case of male, the effect of procedural justice on organizational behavior is stronger than that of female.
