In recent years, the share of the rapidly growing food service industry accounts, and therefore a lot of changes have appeared in the family restaurant as part of the food service industry. Accordingly, this study will analyze the effects of the service scape which has a focal point on the customer emotion on relationship continuity in the family restaurant. The sample was set as a target for those who have experience with the family restaurant to live in Seoul and Gyeonggi province and using Likert 5-point scale measurement. 274 copies of questionnaires were used to analysis as they distributed 300 copies of questionnaires. The service scape which indicates the ambient conditions, spatial functionality, signs-symbols and artifacts are set up in order to execute this project. The result showed that the service scape including ambient conditions and spatial functionality had effects on the positive emotion. Furthermore, the spatial functionality had effects on the negative emotion while the ambient conditionst was not. the service scape including signs-symbols and artifacts had not effects on the positive emotion and negative emotion. Finally, positive emotion and negative emotion had effects on relationship continuity. As a result, this study provides an efficient marketing strategy considering several important factors such as the market conditions and the type of sales area to balance the product and service and the environments by examining a particular example of the family restaurant industry.
