The purpose of this study is to analysis the improved curriculum for korean language art in 2007. In order to achieve this purpose, I have reviewed and discussed about the 7th National Curriculum for Korean Language Art and the plan for improving the curriculum in June and December.
The main finding of this study are as follows:
First, the objectives and concept of terminologies that is used the improved curriculum document should be prescribed more clearly. The present curriculum and the new curriculum has not sufficient ideas and identities.
Second, the contents of curriculum should obtain well-organized system. the improved curriculum seems to following that. But It is not sufficient yet. Specific subject-matter do not have to follow the same system that is adopted the others. we have to develop the system for language art only.
Third, assessments should relate the standards than the content. New curriculum present the standard. That is very useful for assessments. The Standards that is presented it is use directly to the implementation of evaluation.
This study has meaning itself in an aspect of promotion of arguments. I hope the controversy like this is continued constructively. The improved curriculum in 2007 will replacement curriculum at any time. So we prepare changing the content and the method for education.
