The purpose of this study is to recognize that human resources are key elements in creating organizational performance and verify the effects of boundaryless career attitudes on the competency, subjective view of a successful career and work performance of hotel chefs. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, the study was conducted by establishing a hypothesis through precedent studies and relevant literature and verifying the hypothesis through empirical testing. In conclusion, it was found that the physical mobile and psychological mobile of hotel chefs which are boundaryless careers of hotel chefs increased the competency of the chefs and chefs with a higher level of competency recognized themselves to have a successful career. Also, it was found that the chefs that recognized themselves to have a successful career had a higher level of work performance. Based on such study results, the study proposes valuable implications for hotel chefs in managing their careers and performing their work by suggesting a career and competency development direction to enhance the subjective view of a successful career and work performance of hotel chefs.
