The purpose of this paper was to examinate the knotty points of transitional justice through the investigation about compensation of May uprising victims and the research of May uprising victim's trauma. And also this study has examined physical and psychological effects on May uprising victims through the war of memories and PTSD(post-traumatic stress disorder).
The transitional justice which was made in the during of compensation of May uprising victims is five principles. Yhey are as follows; ① discovering the truth, ② inflicting a punishment on responsible persons, ③ reestablishing May uprising victim's honor, ④ compensation, ⑤ memorial works. But these principles have being in discord with the institutions that was made in related with purge of the May uprising. Especially, the trauma of May uprising victims is the decisive knotty point of compensation of May uprising victims.
